Week 2 vs. Eventruly Yours (final)
Client: Latoya Russell, Eventruly Yours.
As with last week, this logo took about 2 hours from sketch to this rendering. I like the logo well enough, though I'm not sure I've hit it for the client. The client's service is event planning, for birthdays and bridal/baby showers (but not weddings) and she wanted something in calligraphy. Have to wait and see.
52 teas follow up
This project / blog has already become an interesting experience for me. Above are two final renders I did for Frank (not Howard) following last week's free logo. Payment: 6 bags of tea from his website!
It's a small trade, but a fun one, and I'm glad to have had the chance to help a small business.

Recession Blues
Jobs for creative professionals are scarce in the best of times, let alone during an economic downturn. So, if no one wants to pay for it, I'll do it for free!
Once each week, I will post a listing on craigslist offering to produce a logo for free. Your reply should contain the name of the company, product, or event you want a logo for and any details you feel are important.
I will accept requests on a first-come, first-serve basis. I will not accept repeat requests unless you offer me money, then I will accept the highest bidding request.
Finally, I will post your logo on this blog, as well as any sketches I did along the way. The logo is yours, free for you to alter or reproduce as many times as you want. I only ask that you leave a comment on this blog and give me standard credit for creating the work. (your comment may be as positive or negative as you like)
If you want me to refine the logo further or like it, but want to see another, my rate $20 an hour.
And there you have it! A free logo for you, practice for me, and hopefully a bit of fun.
Cheers,
GG
